LEGO Pokémon Is Finally Real — And It’s Everything Fans Hoped For
It’s the crossover Pokémon fans have talked about for years — and now it’s official. The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International have unveiled the very first LEGO Pokémon sets, and they’re not small throwaway builds either. These are premium, display-worthy models aimed squarely at long-time fans.
The first LEGO Pokémon sets launch on 27 February 2026, with pre-orders live right now — and judging by the lineup, these are going to be huge.

A crossover done properly
Rather than starting small, LEGO has gone straight for some of the most iconic Pokémon of all time. The first wave features Pikachu, Eevee, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, all recreated in brick form with impressive scale and detail.
This isn’t “kids’ LEGO” either. Every set in the launch lineup is 18+, clearly designed for collectors, display builders, and Pokémon fans who grew up alongside the franchise.
Pikachu & Poké Ball — a centrepiece build
The headline set is the LEGO Pokémon Pikachu and Poké Ball, and it’s a proper statement piece. With 2,050 pieces, the build recreates a classic Pokémon moment: Pikachu bursting out of a Poké Ball, ready for battle.
The base features a black lightning-bolt design with energy effects bursting from the Poké Ball, and there are some great hidden details too — including a subtle nod to Pikachu’s Pokédex number, 25.
The best part? Pikachu can be posed dynamically mid-leap or displayed sitting calmly with a closed Poké Ball, making it feel more like a museum display than a toy.

Venusaur, Charizard & Blastoise — the ultimate Kanto trio
For those who want to go all in, the Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise set is on another level entirely. At a massive 6,838 pieces, this is one of LEGO’s largest display sets ever — and the first time the fully evolved Kanto starters have appeared in LEGO form.
Each Pokémon is individually articulated, faithfully capturing their original designs, and they can be displayed solo or together on a shared action base. The base itself is packed with Easter eggs and biome-inspired details tied to each Pokémon, which is exactly the kind of thoughtful design fans were hoping for.
This one feels less like a set you build once and more like a centrepiece you proudly display.
Eevee — small, expressive, and full of charm
Not every set needs to be massive to be impressive. The LEGO Pokémon Eevee set comes in at 587 pieces, but it absolutely nails Eevee’s personality. With an expressive face and movable tail, head, and limbs, it’s designed to be posed however you like — playful, alert, or relaxed.
It also supports LEGO’s Build Together app, making it a great option for shared builds with family or friends.
More than just sets — a full Pokémon experience
Alongside the set launch, LEGO and Pokémon are running a digital scavenger hunt from 12 January to 27 February 2026. Fans can search for hidden clues across LEGO and Pokémon digital channels to unlock rewards — including the chance to win a trip to Pokémon World Championships 2026 in San Francisco, plus all three LEGO Pokémon sets.
There’s also exclusive commissioned photography showing the Pokémon placed into real-world environments, blending LEGO builds with natural landscapes in a way that feels very on-brand for both companies.

Pre-orders, bonuses, and availability
Pre-orders are live now via LEGO.com and Pokémon Center (US, UK, and Canada). From launch day, the sets will also be available in LEGO Stores and selected retailers worldwide.
There’s even a Pokémon Center gift-with-purchase: pre-ordering the Kanto trio set earns a LEGO Pokémon Kanto Region Badge Collection while stocks last — a nice bonus for collectors who were already going all in.
