Why is this stock reduced?

Here's how our discounts actually work, because the reason matters. Some of this is end-of-line stock: a set has been superseded, the boxes are still perfectly good, and we would rather sell them than store them. Some is over-ordering on our part, which happens. Some is manufacturer promotion passed straight through. What you will not find is a price inflated last Tuesday so it could be slashed today.

What tends to go on sale?

Sealed Pokémon rarely goes on sale while a set is current, so most reductions here are on older English sets, Japanese product, accessories and the games with less frantic demand. That's often where the genuine value sits anyway. An out-of-print box from two eras ago at a discount is a better buy than a current box at RRP if you plan to open it.

Stock is limited to what's listed and it does not come back. Also worth checking: new in, all sealed product, and accessories.

Common questions

How often does the sale change?

Week to week. It's whatever is genuinely reduced at the time, not a permanent clearance shelf, and when a line sells out it does not come back.

Are the before-prices real?

Yes. Nothing here is marked up in order to be marked down, the reductions are end-of-line stock, our own over-ordering, or manufacturer promotions passed straight through.
