More about Star Wars: Unlimited
Star Wars: Unlimited from Fantasy Flight, stocked across five sets: Ashes of the Empire, A Lawless Time, Secrets of Power, Legends of the Force and Homeworlds, the last of those on pre-order.
Boxes are 24-pack displays, and there are prerelease boxes for Ashes of the Empire and Homeworlds, which are the best value product the game makes if you like limited play. A prerelease box gives you enough to build a deck on the spot with a group of friends and costs less than a display.
The game itself is quick, two-player, and built around a leader and a base rather than a life total, which makes it far easier to teach than Magic. Spark of Rebellion's two-player starter is still the cleanest way to get two people playing in half an hour.
Where it sits in the UK: smaller scene than Magic or One Piece, but a devoted one, and the Star Wars licence brings in people who have never bought a card game before. Set-specific stock is in Ashes of the Empire, and the rest of the range is in card games.
