More about Card Sleeves

Sleeves, in the two flavours that matter: cheap ones you buy by the hundred, and licensed deck protectors you buy because they look good.

The cheap ones do the important job. Penny sleeves and soft sleeves from Ultra Pro, Gamegenic and MintKeeper cost a few pounds for a hundred and stop a card getting scratched in a binder or a toploader. Every single we post goes out in one. If you collect at all, buy a pack now and stop thinking about it.

The licensed 65-count deck protectors are the other kind: Pokémon Gallery Series, Armarouge & Ceruledge, Miraidon, Greninja and the set-branded sleeves from Ascended Heroes, Black Bolt and White Flare. Those are for decks you actually play with, and they're the ones that sell out because a run gets printed once and never again.

One practical note: for double-sleeving, perfect-fit sleeves go inside and the branded ones go outside. Get them the wrong way round and you'll be redoing 60 cards.

Also useful: toploaders, binders, and deck boxes.
