About Collector's Edge
Started as a collection. Got a bit out of hand.
Collector’s Edge is a family-run card shop, and like most people in this hobby we were collectors long before we were sellers: ripping packs, chasing alt arts, and learning the hard way which sellers sleeve a card properly and which ones post a £40 single loose in an envelope. The shop grew out of that. The whole thing runs on one idea: sell cards the way a collector would want to buy them.
What that means in practice
Order before noon on a working day and your parcel almost always leaves the same day, with Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Tracked 48. Not "allow 3 to 5 working days for processing". Same day.
Packaging gets slightly obsessive attention. Singles ship sleeved and in a toploader. Graded slabs are double-boxed. Read our reviews and "well packaged" comes up so often it's nearly a catchphrase, and we'd rather keep it that way than save 20p a parcel on materials.
And when you email, a person replies — usually the same day. There’s no ticket queue and no copy-paste script, just the people who packed your order answering your question about it.
The numbers we actually care about
Collector’s Edge holds more than 100 five-star ratings, from over 110 reviews in total. Not one of them is below 4 stars. Nobody's paid for those, and they keep mentioning the same three things: fast dispatch, careful packaging, and getting a reply from an actual human. That's the whole business model, honestly.
Graded cards are the speciality
We stock one of the deepest ranges of Ace Grading slabs in the UK, alongside PSA. We're an official Ace Grading partner too: code CE takes 5% off your own submissions, and every slab we list links straight to its certificate at acegrading.com, so you can check the subgrades and population before you spend a penny. More on that on our Ace Grading discount page.
Purchase invites, not bot wars
When an in-demand set drops and allocation is tight, we don't run a free-for-all where scripts beat humans to the checkout. Constrained stock goes out through purchase invites, offered to regular customers first. If you've shopped with us before, you get a fair shot at the hard stuff. It's slower to sell out that way. We think it's worth it.
