Obsidian Flames singles, OBF, released 11 August 2023. A 197-card set, and the Charizard set of the Scarlet & Violet era.

Charizard ex appears three times here at three very different prices, which trips people up constantly. The special illustration rare at 223/197 is the expensive one. The gold at 228/197 sits below it, and 215/197 is the full art below that. All three say Charizard ex and all three look broadly similar in a listing thumbnail, so check the collector number before you buy. Ninetales at 199/197 is the illustration rare people overlook.

Beyond the Charizard the set is inexpensive, and the Terastal mechanic it introduced means a lot of the ex cards from here are still playable in older formats. If you want the artwork without the Charizard tax, the illustration rares in the 190s are the value corner of this set.

Everything is condition-checked, Near Mint unless marked, sleeved and toploadered with same-day dispatch before noon. The full era is in Scarlet & Violet singles. Next along: 151.
