More about Pokémon TCG: Battle Styles - Singles

Battle Styles singles, BST, released 19 March 2021. The set that split the game into Single Strike and Rapid Strike, and gave both Urshifu VMAX a card worth owning.

Tyranitar V at 155/163 is the alternate art that carries the set, and it is one of the better-drawn cards of the whole era. Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX and Single Strike Urshifu VMAX sit behind it, and Empoleon V at 146/163 is the one people overlook and then pay more for a year later. If you only take one card off this page, the Tyranitar is the one that has held value most consistently.

Battle Styles is also where the Rapid Strike engine came from, so there is a real deck-building reason to buy singles here rather than just collecting. The trainers and the Urshifu line still see play in older formats.

All cards are checked by hand, Near Mint unless the listing says otherwise, and posted sleeved in a toploader with same-day dispatch on orders before noon. Sealed and graded BST is on the Battle Styles page. Either side: Shining Fates and Chilling Reign.
