The sealed Pokémon products built around a promo card rather than a pack count. Three-pack blisters at the cheap end, Ultra-Premium Collections at the top, and figure collections, binder collections and collector chests filling in the middle.

The tiers, roughly in order of size. Blisters and checklanes give you two or three packs and a promo, and they are the cheapest way into a new set. ex boxes and Special Collections add an oversize card and four packs. Premium Collections bring accessories along with the cards. The Ultra-Premium Collections sit at the top with sleeves, a deck box, dice and a full-art promo.

The promo is usually the point. Most are exclusive to that one product and never printed again, which is why boxes from older sets hold their value long after the packs inside have been opened.

Worth saying plainly. If you want the promo and nothing else, the loose card is often cheaper than the box once people start cracking them. That is a slightly disloyal thing for a shop to admit and it is still true. Buy the box for the accessories and the packs, or buy the single and skip the rest.
