What is Paradox Rift?

Paradox Rift is the fourth Scarlet & Violet set, code SV4, released on 3 November 2023. It introduced the Ancient and Future labels for Paradox Pokémon and Trainer cards, which Temporal Forces then finished off. The main set is 182 cards, 001/182 to 182/182, and the secret rares run to 266/182, one of the longest secret runs of the era. Across every finish we list: 162 Commons, 108 Uncommons, 54 Rares, 20 Double Rares, 28 Ultra Rares and 34 Illustration Rares, with the Special Illustration Rares and Hyper Rares above.

Which Paradox Rift cards do people chase?

Groudon 199/182, an Illustration Rare, is the card most collectors want from this set, which says something about the set's art. Roaring Moon ex 251/182 and Iron Valiant ex 249/182 are the Special Illustration Rares that match it, with Altaria ex 253/182 and Gholdengo ex 252/182 not far behind. Roaring Moon ex and Iron Valiant ex both saw serious competitive play, so the regular Double Rare prints have a second audience.
