More about Surging Sparks Expansion

What is Surging Sparks?

Surging Sparks is the eighth Scarlet & Violet set, code SV8, released on 8 November 2024. It continued the Stellar Tera mechanic from Stellar Crown and added Pikachu ex as a Stellar type, which turned into the card of the year. The main set is 191 cards, 001/191 to 191/191, with the secret rares climbing to 252/191. Across every finish we list: 176 Commons, 122 Uncommons, 32 Rares, 18 Double Rares, 21 Ultra Rares and 23 Illustration Rares, then the Special Illustration Rares and Hyper Rares.

Which Surging Sparks cards do people chase?

Pikachu ex 238/191 first, by a distance. Then Latias ex 239/191, Milotic ex 237/191 and Hydreigon ex 240/191, the other Special Illustration Rares, and the gold Pikachu ex 247/191 for anyone finishing the set. Milotic ex is the one we see most often in Ace Grading slabs. The Illustration Rares are strong throughout, which is why Surging Sparks singles move faster than any other Scarlet & Violet set on this site.

What sealed Surging Sparks product exists?

Booster box, Elite Trainer Box, booster bundle, single packs and blisters. Demand for this set has kept sealed scarce since release; what we hold is on this page.

How we sell Surging Sparks singles and slabs

Near Mint unless the listing says otherwise, sleeved and in a toploader, with set, number, rarity and finish in the details. Graded copies show grader, grade and certificate number. Same-day dispatch before noon on working days.
