MTG release dates UK 2026-2027: every upcoming set and product

The next Magic: The Gathering set is Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek, out in the UK on 13 November 2026, with prereleases from 6 November. After that, Nauctis: The Sunken Realm opens 2027 on 5 February. Below is every confirmed release date, product and major event from now to the end of 2027.

MTG release dates at a glance

All dates are from Wizards of the Coast. Magic's main sets release worldwide on the same day, so the UK date is the global date. Pre-orders for new sets appear in our pre-orders once stock and prices are confirmed.

Magic releases in October 2026

Secret Lair: Corn Maze Superdrop: 12 October

Eight new Secret Lair drops go on sale on 12 October at 9am Pacific time, which is 5pm in the UK, only on MagicSecretLair.com. They are three Jim Henson's Labyrinth drops (Fear Me, Love Me; Should You Need Us; Through the Labyrinth), KPop Demon Hunters: How It's Done, Marvel: Zombies, an Artist Series drop for Veronique Meignaud, Manufactured Grounds by See Machine, and Peace, Love, & Treefolk.

Festival in a Box: Atlanta 2026 and Mystery Booster Commander Edition: 19 October

Festival in a Box is the first wide release of Mystery Booster Commander Edition, a box built for Commander drafting. Each box holds a full Mystery Booster Commander Edition box (24 boosters of 20 cards), a four-card Secret Gallery: Atlanta foil drop and four promo cards. It's sold on MagicSecretLair.com from 19 October, limited to two per customer, while stocks last. Outside Festival in a Box, the boxes appear at events like MagicCon. Its new cards become legal in Commander on 13 November 2026, and in Legacy and Vintage on 1 January 2027.

Magic releases in November 2026

Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek (TRK): 13 November

Star Trek is a Universes Beyond set, timed for the show's 60th anniversary. It's legal in every format, including Standard. Seven actors signed the set's headliner cards, with about 250 copies of each, found only in Collector Boosters.

The full range is Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, a Bundle, the Beam Me Up Bundle (8 Play Boosters, 1 Collector Booster and 2 of 8 foil promo cards), Draft Night, two Scene Boxes, and four Commander decks: Federation Fleet, Landing Party, Klingon Fury and We Are the Borg, each also in a Collector's Edition.

MagicCon: Atlanta and World Championship 32: 13 to 15 November

Magic's big US convention opens on Star Trek release day, with the World Championship running alongside it. MagicCons usually bring reveals for upcoming sets.

Magic sets coming in 2027

Wizards has confirmed six sets for 2027: three Magic Multiverse sets set on its own worlds, alternating with three Universes Beyond crossovers. The three Multiverse sets are named; the Universes Beyond ones have dates but no names yet.

Nauctis: The Sunken Realm: 5 February 2027

A brand-new plane: an endless ocean with cities beneath the waves, gods that swim with their followers, and merfolk, seals, homarids and a few humans caught between two warring kingdoms. It's also the first set with Wizards' new Booster Packs (the renamed Play Boosters) and God Packs, where 1 in 1,000 packs is all rares and mythics.

Kamigawa: Titanbreach: 4 June 2027

An Omenpath opens over Kamigawa's city of Towashi and a chunk of Ikoria crashes through. Wizards pitches it as Ikoria's monsters against Kamigawa's mechs, and you can play either side.

Zhalfir: 1 October 2027

Zhalfir returns as a plane in its own right, with Teferi coming home. Wizards describes it as Magic's take on afrofantasy, and as a set that honours the era of Magic that Zhalfir comes from.

Universes Beyond: 9 April, 6 August and 19 November 2027

Wizards' 2027 roadmap lists three unannounced Universes Beyond sets on these dates. We'll add the names as they're revealed. Recent Universes Beyond sets are in our Universes Beyond range.

MagicCons and big events in 2027

Four MagicCons in 2027, including the first in Japan, each hosting a Pro Tour or the World Championship.
