Paldea Evolved singles, PAL, released 9 June 2023. A 193-card set that is remembered for one very unlikely card.
The Magikarp illustration rare at 203/193 is the set. It is a common Pokémon in an art-rare slot, it became the card everyone wanted, and it still outprices most of the ex cards in the expansion. Iono at 269/193 is the special illustration rare trainer and the one competitive players and collectors both chased, which is a rare combination. Tyranitar at 222/193 and Raichu at 211/193 are the other two art rares worth knowing.
Paldea Evolved is where the illustration rare properly took hold as the thing people collect, and it is worth shopping with that in mind. The ex cards from this set have mostly drifted down. The art rares have not. If you are buying to keep rather than to play, the 190s and 200s numbers are where to look.
All singles are checked by hand, Near Mint unless the listing says otherwise, and posted sleeved in a toploader. The full era is in Scarlet & Violet singles. Either side: Scarlet & Violet and Obsidian Flames.
