A permanent Pokémon store is coming to London, and it's currently scheduled to open by 2029. The Pokémon Company announced it on 21 October 2026, and says it will be the first physical retail space for the Pokémon brand outside Asia, and the first of several permanent stores planned outside Asia. The exact location, the opening date and the store's name haven't been announced yet.

What's been announced
The Pokémon Company International is planning a permanent, physical Pokémon store in London. Pokémon describes it as the ultimate destination for Pokémon fans, with a variety of exclusive merchandise and one-of-a-kind experiences for Trainers of all ages.
We hope it becomes a place where everyone can come together, feel like part of a community.Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer, The Pokémon Company International
- Opening: currently scheduled for by 2029. That's a target, not a fixed date, and no month has been given.
- Location: London, but no street, area or shopping centre has been named yet.
- A first outside Asia: Pokémon says it will be the brand's first physical retail space outside Asia.
- More to come: it's the first of several permanent Pokémon stores planned outside Asia. No other cities have been named.
02 · The name
Will it be a Pokémon Center?
Not confirmed. Pokémon's announcement calls it a "permanent, physical Pokémon store" and a "retail destination", and never uses the Pokémon Center name. It might still carry it, but for now the brand hasn't been announced.
Pokémon Center is the name of the official Pokémon shops in Asia: there's a large chain across Japan, plus stores in Singapore and Taipei. In the UK, Pokémon Center has only been an online shop, since December 2021, plus the occasional pop-up.
03 · The shop
What will it sell?
So far, Pokémon has only said "a variety of exclusive merchandise and one-of-a-kind experiences". It hasn't said whether the store will sell Pokémon TCG products, run events or tournaments, or have a play area. If the Pokémon Centers in Asia are anything to go by, expect store-exclusive merchandise to be the big draw, but that's our guess, not an announcement.
04 · History
Pokémon shops in the UK so far
UK fans have had to make do with pop-ups and the online shop until now:
The pop-ups have drawn long queues and sold out of exclusives, which goes a long way to explaining why London is first.

Our take
Our take
This is big news for UK collectors. A permanent Pokémon store means no more chasing pop-ups, and exclusives you can buy in person instead of hoping the online shop holds stock.
It's a long way off, though. "By 2029" leaves plenty of room, and we don't know where it will be or whether it will stock the trading card game at all. Until then, the cards are where they've always been: in shops like ours.
